Co-FounderCo-founders Jasen and Lizmarie Edwards established Selah Creatives Co. with the intention of bringing a new vision for dance and creative arts as freedom of expression. Individually they both pursued musical production and dance in their younger years as it was the most natural form of art they gravitated towards when looking for a way to express their emotions. After meeting through a Christian organization, together they led a ministry of artistic individuals of all ages and produced large scale faith-based performances that were streamed across the world with millions of views. Many of these artists later continued to use their God assigned talent as a means of evangelism, impacting others and leading many to the feet of Jesus Christ.
Today, their focus is on educating, empowering, and edifying men, women, and youth of all ages about how sound, music and dance can work together to build, break, change, and overall influence your life. With Christ at the center of their academy, they bring a fresh and bold approach to impact our generation of creatives. mission

“Dancing has always been a passion of mine as a youth, but as I grew older, the reality of using this artform as a career became less realistic. For years, I held this deep desire to perform in my heart but chose to pursue God and his purpose instead. Thought I didn't use my talent actively, I gathered with many youth in my home, in the streets, in churches, and in venues, and worked with them to encourage them to use the talent God had put in them. I believe Selah Creatives Co. was a product designed for purpose and put in my heart by God himself. At Selah Creatives Co. Studio, our goal is not only to teach you how to dance, but also to impart a deeper understanding of its purpose, impact, and potential. We believe dance is a powerful form of expression, communication, and ministry when used intentionally. Throughout our programs, we incorporate scriptural references to help students understand the significant role dance has played throughout biblical history—as a means of celebrating victory, expressing worship, experiencing freedom, and demonstrating God's power. Our desire is to equip students with both the skill and the understanding to use dance purposefully and meaningfully in every area of life. We believe it is our responsibility to teach this generation that they can use their gifts, talents, and abilities to inspire, entertain, and engage others without sexually suggestive dancing, explicit musical content, or the exploitation of their bodies.
